After many delays and thoughts I might get back to posting to this space. In the meantime I have added a display of the photos in my Flickr collection which is building up steadily. I am at film 9 of 19 from my visit to China in 1993 so very many to go
Marion and I have come back from 'Opera at the Rock', held at the Ivory's Rock Conference Centre east of Ipswich, Queensland last night. It was a bit like the curates egg, good in parts! Some very nice singing, (selections from La Traviata by G Verdi by singers from Queensland Opera), a lovely spot, good service but the meal was not particularly memorable and the venue was sufffering from a heavy storm the previous night. However it was intersting to talk to the soprano, Susan Ellis, who turned out to have gone to the School of Music in Canberra and know Virginia Taylor, Louise's flute teacher for some years. Small world.
Back to other things.
